Some
35 years have passed since Bernard Epton (who in reality was a liberal Jewish Republican
state legislator from the Hyde Park neighborhood) created the public perception
of himself that he’d never be able to live down.
More
than a third of a century later, some things, sadly, remain eternal. Which is
why some of us will forever be suspicious of just what is meant during this Age
of Trump (of which DeSantis is a strong supporter) and its campaign slogan “Make
America Great Again.”
