EXTRA: Rahm gloms on at protest end

It turns out that Rahm Emanuel showed his solidarity with the people who fasted for a month to draw attention to immigration reform just as they were ending their own protest.

For it seems that Emanuel and several aldermen began their day-long fast for immigration reform Thursday night, on the very day that the activists who fasted on the National Mall in the District of Columbia ended theirs.

PERSONALLY, I’M SURPRISED to see that people who only consumed water for a month didn’t do more serious damage to their health.

Although it still amounts to something to see that Emanuel – once apathetic on this issue – is now trying to take baby steps to get himself involved.
