Francisco Rodriguez got his 58th save of the 2008 season, finishing off the Los Angeles Angels' 5-2 victory Saturday over the Seattle Mariners.
So now Rodriguez gets his line in the record books, and Bobby Thigpen becomes just another one of the thousands of men who have played Major League baseball.
What caught my attention about his save? He completed a victory for starting pitcher Jon Garland, who was one of the solid starters used by the White Sox during their World Series championship season of 2005.
